Faramir story with Eowyin

Faramir (The Prince of Ithilien / Captain of Gondor): Sensible, bookish, and compassionate, Faramir constantly lived in the shadow of his older brother, Boromir, and suffered under the cruel, unyielding emotional abuse of his father, Denethor. Sent on a suicide mission to defend Osgiliath, Faramir was severely wounded by a poisoned dart. Later, driven mad by despair and the palantír, Denethor attempted to burn both himself and his unconscious son on a funeral pyre. 2. Meeting in the Houses of Healing Both Éowyn and Faramir are sent to the Houses of Healing in Minas Tirith, where Aragorn cures them using Athelas (kingsfoil). While they are recovering physically, their emotional recovery has just begun. Éowyn wakes up first, but she is restless, miserable, and still desperate for battle or death, hating the confinement of the room. One day, looking out from the walls toward Mordor, she encounters Faramir, who is also recovering and looking out toward the east....
